SPJIMR-Centre of Development of Corporate Citizenship, DOCC

With its roots in Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, a pioneer NGO promoting Indian ethos and culture, DOCC at SPJIMR was a natural outcome. The Centre for Development of Corporate Citizenship was established in the year 2001 with a view towards bringing management education closer to reality in the Indian context. This is a full time social wing of the institute, which has full time faculty and research associates and consultants working on various social projects and corporate citizenship programs. Today it is one of the most successful pedagogic initiatives and an example that is being replicated by others.

The primary objective of the program is to impart strategies that strengthen women’s capacity and promote their participation in all aspects of political life leading to greater gender equality in key decision-making processes and positions.
