A Common Written Examination (CWE) is conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) as a pre-requisite for selection of personnel for Clerical cadre posts in Public Sector Banks.

Eligibility

Nationality
A candidate must be one of the following:
• A citizen of India
• A subject of Nepal or Bhutan
• A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 01/01/1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India
• A person of Indian origin who has migrated from other countries (detailed list of countries available on official website) with the intention of permanently settling in India
provided that a candidate belonging to categories above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the the Indian government.

Educational Qualification

• Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
• Computer literacy: A candidate must have operating and working knowledge of computer systems, possessing a certificate / Diploma / Degree in computer operations/Language/ or should have studied Computer / Information Technology as one of the subjects in the High School/College/Institute.
• A candidate who is proficient in the official language of the state or UT, where vacancies are available, will be preferred.

About MH-CET

Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MH-CET) or MH-MBA/MMS-CET is a computer-based test for admission to the first year of Two-year Full Time Post Graduate Degree Courses in MBA/MMS and PGDBM/PGDM in Government, University Managed, University Departments and Unaided Institutes in the state of Maharashtra.

Eligibility

A candidate should have passed with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (45% in case of candidates of backward class categories belonging to Maharashtra State only) in Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration in any discipline as recognised by the Association of Indian Universities.

Candidates appearing for the final year of the qualifying examination can also apply.

Maharashtra State and OMS candidates who have appeared for the CAT / GMAT / CMAT 2014 / MAT (Feb 2014)/ XAT / ATMA / MH-CET 2014 are eligible for All India seats subject to fulfillment of eligibility criteria. Such candidates are also required to fill and confirm online application form.

In compliance with the directives of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi would be conducting the All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Test, for the academic session 2015-16. This entrance test is being conducted for the 15% merit positions in the Medical/Dental Colleges of India as specified in the directives of the Supreme Court and will be governed by the rules and regulations specified for the same by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India from time to time.
There are also State Governments/Universities/Institutions voluntarily participating in the All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Test – 2015 for using its merit list for admission in the Medical Colleges/Dental Colleges against seats under their control.

The responsibility of the CBSE is limited to the conduct of the entrance test, declaration of result and providing merit list to the DGHS and participating States/Universities/Institutions.
The counselling for successful candidates under 15% All India Quota seats is conducted by the DGHS and the Counselling for admission in seats under the control of other participating States/Universities/Institutions shall be conducted by their respective Authorities.

Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a non-statutory body created for the convenience of the students seeking admission to the various Law Universities in the Country under Memorandum of Understandings (MoU). An entrance test is conducted to provide a list of candidates on the basis of ‘merit-cum-preference’ to each University for admission to their UG/PG programs, as per the qualifications, reservation and other conditions laid down under the respective Statutes of the participating Universities.
The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is an all India entrance examination conducted on rotation by 16 National Law Universities (NLUs) for admissions to their under-graduate and post-graduate degree programmes (LL.B. & LL.M.). The 16 participating NLUs in the order of their establishment are:

The first CLAT Core Committee consisting of Vice-Chancellors of the seven participating NLUs at that time decided that the test shall be conducted by rotation in the order of their establishment. Accordingly, the first Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) was conducted in the year 2008. Now there are 16 participating NLUs and following the practice the eighth Common Law Admission Test (CLAT 2015) will be conducted by the Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National University, Lucknow.

The Under-Graduate Programme Offered By The National Law Universities

The Sixteen NLUs offer a five-year integrated under-graduate law courses leading to the award of B.A. LL.B. (Hons.), B.Sc. LL.B. (Hons.), B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.), B.S.W. LL.B. (Hons.), B.Com. LL.B. (Hons.) degrees.

The information of the LL.M. degree course offered at the various NLUs with the duration and the specializations have been provided in detail under the sections of each University. The candidates are also advised to check the websites of respective Universities from time to time to keep themselves updated about the changes in the course structure and other details.

Eligibility criteria for admission to UG/PG programme

Those who are appearing in their Class 12th (For UG Programme) and LL.B./a five year integrated LL.B. (For PG Programme) or any other equivalent degree in Law for qualifying examination in 2015 are eligible to appear in CLAT – 2015, Such candidates are required to produce evidence of passing of qualifying examination with minimum required percentage at the time of admission.

The result of qualifying examination shall be submitted by the candidate at the time of admission, failing which, the candidate shall be ineligible for admission to the Course.

The different subject areas of the examination:

1. English including comprehension

The English section will test the candidates’ proficiency in English based on comprehension passages and grammar. In the comprehension section, candidates will be questioned on their understanding of the passage and its central theme, meanings of words used therein etc. The grammar section requires correction of incorrect grammatical sentences, filling of blanks in sentences with appropriate words, etc.
2. General Knowledge and Currents Affairs

The candidates will be tested on their general awareness including static general knowledge. Questions on current affairs will test candidates on their knowledge of current affairs (broadly defined as matters featuring in the mainstream media between March 2014 to April 2015)

3. Mathematics

This section will test candidate’s knowledge on elementary mathematics, i.e. maths taught up to Class X.

4. Legal Aptitude

This section will test candidate’s interest towards study of law, research aptitude and problem solving abilities. Questions will be framed with the help of legal propositions (described in the paper), and a set of facts to which the said proposition has to be applied. Some propositions may not be “true” in the real sense (e.g. the legal proposition may be that any person who speaks in a movie hall and disturbs others that are watching the movie will be banned from entering any movie theater across India for one year). Candidates will have to assume the “truth” of these propositions and answer the questions accordingly.

5. Logical Reasoning

The purpose of the logical reasoning section is to test the candidate’s ability to identify patterns, logical links and rectify illogical arguments. It will include a wide variety of logical reasoning questions such as syllogisms, logical sequences, analogies, etc. However, visual reasoning will not be tested.

About the NET

The National Educational Testing Bureau of University Grants Commission (UGC) conducts National Eligibility Test (NET) to determine eligibility for lectureship and for award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) for Indian nationals in order to ensure minimum standards for the entrants in the teaching profession and research. The Test is conducted in Humanities (including languages), Social Sciences, Forensic Science, Environmental Sciences, Computer Science and Applications and Electronic Science.

The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) conducts the UGC-CSIR NET for other Science subjects, namely, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Mathematical Sciences and Earth Atmospheric Ocean & Planetary Sciences jointly with the UGC. The tests are conducted twice in a year generally in the months of June and December. For candidates who desire to pursue research, the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) is available for five years subject to fulfillment of certain conditions. UGC has allocated a number of fellowships to the universities for the candidates who qualify the test for JRF. The JRFs are awarded to the meritorious candidates from among the candidates qualifiying for eligibility for lectureship in the NET. JRFs are available only to the candidates who opt for it in their application forms.

The test for Junior Research Fellowship is being conducted since 1984. The Government of India, through its notification dated 22nd July, 1988 entrusted the task of conducting the eligibility test for lectureship to UGC. Consequently, UGC conducted the first National Eligibility Test, common to both eligibility for Lectureship and Junior Research Fellowship in two parts, that is, in December 1989 and in March , 1990.

N E T Schedule

UGC conducts NET twice a year, i.e., in the months of June and December. The notifications announcing the June and December examinations are published in the months of March and September respectively in the weekly journal of nation-wide circulation, viz, Employment News.

Jiwaji University Gwalior came into existence on May 23, 1964, through M.P. Govt. Ordinance no. 15 of 1963. Late Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, the then President of India, laid the foundation stone on 11th December 1964 at a sprawling campus of over 225 acres of land at Naulakha Parade ground. Ministry of Culture, Government of India offers schemes for scholarships in different cultural fields. This scholarship scheme seeks to give assistance to young artistes of outstanding promise for advanced training within India. These Cultural Scholarships are awarded in the fields of Indian Classical Music, Indian Classical Dances, Light Classical Music, Theatre, Visual Arts and Folk, Traditional and Indigenous Arts. 400 Scholarships are awarded every year to young artistes who have already undergone a minimum of 5 years of training with their Guru/Institute.

The Cultural Scholarships will be awarded for the following fields of study:
Indian Classical Music
Classical Hindustani Music (Vocal and Instrumental) Classical Carnatic Music (Vocal & Instrumental etc.)
Indian Classical Dance/ Dance Music
Bharatnatyam, Kathak, Kuchipudi, Kathakali, Mohiniattam, Odissi Dance/ Music, Manipuri Dance/ Music, Thangta, Gaudiya Nritya, Chhau Dance/ Music, Sattriya dance.

Any specialized aspect of theatre art, including acting, direction, etc., but excluding playwriting and research; and Mime.

ELIGIBILITY

Candidates should be Indian Nationals;
Candidates should have an adequate general education to pursue their training effectively;
Candidates must give evidence of their desire to make the pursuit of their training effectively;
As the scholarships are meant for advanced training and not for beginners, candidates must have already acquired a degree of proficiency in the chosen field;
The candidate should have undergone a minimum of 5 years training with their Guru/Institutes. The Certificate to this effect in Part II of the Proforma duly signed by the present Guru / Institute and former Guru/ Institute (if any) should be submitted along with the application;
Candidates should have an adequate knowledge in the connected arts/ disciplines.
The candidate’s age should not be less than 18 years and not more than 25 years as on 1st April of the year in which the application is being made. Age relaxation is not permissible.
Duration: The duration of scholarship will be 2 years.

Scholarship Value:

Each scholar will be paid Rs. 5000/- per month for a period of two years to cover his/ her living expenses on travelling, books, art material or other equipment and tuition or training charges, if any.

The Scholar will be required to undergo a rigorous training. Such training will include minimum of three hours a day for practice alone apart from the time spent for acquiring knowledge of the theory of the subject/field concerned and also an appreciation of the related disciplines.

The nature of training will be determined in each case after taking into consideration the previous training and background of the scholar. Normally, it will be in the nature of advance training under a Guru/ Master or in a recognized institution.

APPLICATION & SELECTION PROCEDURE

Eligible candidates can apply online for the cultural scholarships. An advertisement inviting applications will be issued by the Ministry of Culture every year during March-April.

Documents needed to be submitted along with the application:

1 attested copy of degrees, diplomas and certificates, etc. if any, in support of statement made regarding education qualifications, experiences, etc. in the application. In no case should the original documents be attached.
1 attested copy of the Matriculation or equivalent certificate, if any, or other satisfactory evidence of age (other than horoscope).
1 passport size recently taken photograph; the candidate applying for dance should send, in addition, three photographs in costume in full form in actual different dancing poses.
In the case of candidates applying for scholarships in the field of Painting, Sculpture and Applied Arts, they are required to send attested copies of photographs of the original works along with their application duly attested by the Supervisor/Head of the Institution and incase of Music one audio cassette of the applicant’s recording should be attached with the application tightly with a tag. The minimum qualification for Visual Arts is Bachelor of Fine Arts or equivalent.
Separate application should be submitted for each field, if the candidate wants to apply for more than one field.

As the scholarships are awarded for advanced training, the candidates should have undergone a minimum of 5 years training with their Guru/Institutes. The Certificate to this effect in Part II of the Proforma duly signed by the present Guru/ Institute and former Guru/Institute (if any) should be submitted along with the application.

Microsoft Research is committed to advancing the state of computer science. Our fellowship program provides financial support for students and early-career faculty, allowing them to focus on their research. Fellowships build lasting relationships between Microsoft Research and academic institutions. Microsoft Research India PhD Fellowships support PhD students at Indian universities while they pursue doctoral education in computer science and related areas. The fellowships are awarded after a rigorous selection process that includes application, letters of reference, and selection by a panel of leading researchers.

About the Fellowship

For each academic year, Microsoft Research India awards five PhD Fellowships.

The award comprises a monthly stipend that will be disbursed to the awardee over a maximum period of four years. This monthly sum can be used for tuition, books, stipends, and/or any other expenses.

Each PhD Fellow receives a laptop computer and a separate sum of INR 2,50,000 (rupees two lakh fifty thousand only) for travel to conferences and seminars during the term of the Fellowship.

Each Fellow will be invited to various events conducted by Microsoft Research and will have the opportunity to interact with researchers at Microsoft Research India.

ELIGIBILITY

Students must be enrolled in a PhD program at an Indian university.
Students must be in the first, second, or third year of their PhD studies.

The K.C. Mahindra Education Trust is a registered public Charitable Trust under the Bombay Trusts Act, 1950. Their aim is to make education attainable for determined students across India. K.C. Mahindra Education Trust has set up various scholarships and grants for socially and economically underprivileged students. One among them is Mahindra All India Talent Scholarships meant for students who have passed Std. X or Std XII and secured admission in Government or recognized polytechnics for Diploma courses. Preference will be given to girl students, children from lower income group families, disabled children and children of armed forces personnel.

Selected candidates will get Rs. 5000 per year as scholarship for a maximum of three years.

ELIGIBILITY

1. Candidates needs to have passed Std.X or Std.XII from any recognized board of secondary / Higher Secondary in India

2. Candidates must have secured admission in government or recognized polytechnics for diploma courses.

The objective of LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship scheme is to provide financial support to meritorious students belonging to economically weaker families for pursuing higher studies in India in a government or private college/ university. It will also cover technical and vocational courses in Industrial Training Institutes/ Industrial Training Centres affiliated with the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) of classes at Graduation level.

LIC Golden Jubilee Foundation was established on 2006 October and registered with Charity Commissioner under Bombay Public Trust Act 1950 with the objective of promoting education, health, relief of poverty or distress and advancement of other objects of general public utility.

Eligibility

Students who have passed Class XII exam or its equivalent and are interested to pursue higher education in the field of
i) Medicine, Engineering, Graduation, in any discipline, Diploma Course in any field or other equivalent courses.
ii) Vocational Courses through Government recognized Colleges/Institutes or courses in Industrial Training Institutes (ITI).
are eligible to apply for the LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship scheme.

For category (i) – Candidates who have passed Class XII exam or equivalent with at least 60% marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination and annual income of whose parents/guardian from all sources does not exceed Rs. 1,00,000/ per annum.

For category (ii) – The basic educational qualification is relaxed to Class X or equivalent with at least 60% marks subject to income ceiling of parents/guardians.

Students having the lowest family income shall be given preference in the ascending order.

Scholarship Rate

The scholarship shall be provided for the entire course. Scholarship amount is Rs10,000/- per annum, 1000/ payable monthly for ten months by cheques to the beneficiary.

The scholarship, once awarded, may be renewed during the next academic year of the course on the production of certificate that the student has secured 50% in B.A./B.COM. and 55% marks in other streams or equivalent grade in the examination. The scholarship shall be discontinued if a student fails to secure 50% in B.A./B.COM. and 55% marks in other streams or equivalent grade, in the previous final examination of the course for which scholarship is awarded. Scholarship shall not be awarded for more than the normal period of time taken to obtain certificate/degree.

Once online application is submitted, the candidate will get acknowledgement at the email ID provided by him in his online application. INTRODUCTION

The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) is a program started in 1999 by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India to encourage students of Basic Sciences, Engineering and Medicine to take up research careers in these areas. The aim of the program is to identify and encourage talented students with aptitude for research.

This program strives to assist the students to realise their potential and to ensure that the best scientific talent is developed for research and growth in the country. Generous scholarship and contingency grant are provided (up to the pre-Ph.D. level) to the selected students. In addition, summer programs for the KVPY Fellows are organized in prestigious research and educational institutions in the country.

The Department of Science and Technology – the nodal agency of the Government has entrusted the overall responsibility for organizing the scheme to the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and set up a National Advisory Committee (NAC) for overseeing its implementation. A Basic Committee and a National Scientific Committee look after both the administrative and academic aspects of the KVPY Program.

The objectives of the program are to identify students with talent and aptitude for research; help them realize their potential in their studies; encourage them to take up research careers in Science, and ensure the growth of the best scientific minds for research and development in the country.

The advertisement for the KVPY Fellowship appears in all the national dailies normally on the Technology Day (May 11) and the Second Sunday of July every year.

ELIGIBILITY

The KVPY Fellowships are given only to Indian Nationals to Study in India(OCI and PIO’s are not eligible)

Students enrolled in an undergraduate course in Basic Sciences, that is, B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./B.Math./Int. M.Sc./M.S. in Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Cell Biology, Ecology, Molecular Biology, Botany, Zoology, Physiology, Biotechnology, Neurosciences, Bioinformatics, Marine Biology, Geology, Human Biology, Genetics, Biomedical Sciences, Applied Physics, Geophysics, Materials Science or Environmental Science.

Stream SA: Students enrolled in XI Standard (Science Subjects) of the respective year and having secured a minimum of 80% (70% for SC/ST/PWD) marks in aggregate in MATHEMATICS and SCIENCE subjects in the X Standard Board examination. The students under this stream will be mentored for one year. Their fellowship will be activated when they enrol in an undergraduate course in Basic Sciences (B.Sc./ B.S./ B.Stat./ B.Math./ Int. M.Sc./ M.S.) after XII Standard(+2) securing a minimum of 60% (50%for SC/ST/PWD) mark or equivalent grade. During the mentoring period of one year, they will be invited for Regional Science Camp/National Science Camp and expenses for attending those camps will be met by KVPY.

Stream SX: Students enrolled in XII Standard/ (+2) (Science subjects) during the respective academic year nd aspiring to join an undergraduate program in Basic Sciences namely Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics & Biology leading to B.Sc./ B.S./ B.Stat./ B.Math./ Int. M.Sc./M.S. for the next academic session provided they have secured a minimum of 80% (70% for SC/ST/PWD) marks in aggregate in MATHEMATICS and SCIENCE subjects (Physics/Chemistry/Biology) in the X Standard Board Examination. They must secure 60% (50% for SC/ST/PWD) marks in aggregate in MATHEMATICS and SCIENCE subjects (Physics/Chemistry/Biology) in the XII standard Board Examination before taking up the fellowship, if awarded.

Students in their 2nd year of study in Cambridge International Examination Board and aspiring to join an UG program (viz. B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./B.Math./Int. M.Sc./M.S.) in Basic Sciences namely Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology in the next Academic year are eligible to apply provided they have secured a minimum of 80% (70% for SC/ST/PWD) marks in aggregate in MATHEMATICS and SCIENCE subjects (Physics/ Chemistry/ Biology) in the X Standard Board Examination. They must secure 60% (50% for SC/ST/PWD) marks in aggregate in MATHEMATICS and SCIENCE subjects (Physics/Chemistry/Biology) in the XII standard Board Examination before taking up the fellowship, if awarded.

Stream SB: Students enrolled in the 1st year of undergraduate program in Basic Sciences namely Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics & Biology leading to B.Sc./ B.S./ B.Stat./ B.Math./ Int. M.Sc./ M.S. during the current academic year and having secured a minimum of 60% (50% for SC/ST/PWD) marks in aggregate in SCIENCE subjects (Physics/ Chemistry/ Biology/ Mathematics) in the XII Standard Board Examination. In the 1st year final examination of B.Sc./B.S./B.Math./B.Stat./Int. M.Sc./M.S. they must secure 60%(50% for SC/ST/PWD) marks before taking up the fellowship, if awarded.

Empowerment initiative in the KVPY Fellowship Program:

A certain number of additional fellowships exclusively for the students belonging to SC/ST community under the various streams as stated above will be operated.

SELECTION PROCEDURE

After scrutiny of application forms and based on the performance in the Board Examination, all the eligible candidates from Streams SA, SX and SB have to appear for a written aptitude test (conducted both in Hindi and English). The test will be conducted at different centers across the country. The details of the venue of the aptitude tests will be put on the KVPY website. Based on the performance in the aptitude test, candidates will be called for the interview which is the final stage of the selection procedure.

The question paper in SA Stream will be multiple choice objective type. In the objective type, 4 choices for the correct answer will be provided and the choice for the correct answer has to be made.

Students who have applied online may download the admit card for the aptitude test from the website
For students who have applied with a hard copy, admit card will be sent by speed post.

Interview:

Based on the performance in the aptitude test, short-listed students will be asked to appear for an interview which is the final stage of the selection procedure.

Fellowship is awarded for five fellows and typically amounts to Rs: 12,000/- per month (consolidate). The Fellowship will be based on evaluating the contributions made by the experts/scholars, by an expert panel constituted by the Council.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA :
The candidates should be

A native of Kerala by birth / domicle
Graduate in Science
In addition to the above they should be talented in preparing articles, features and research reports on topics of Science.They should be Computer savvy and have goood knowledge in current affairs aptitude in graphic design /social media/ experience in digital publication.

Age limit: Up to 35 years

The age limit will be calculated as on 1st July

Selection

Based on assessment and evaluation of a proposed project.
HOW TO APPLY
Candidates can submit application in the prescribed format given in the website. The copies of testimonials showing qualification and experience publications to be attached along with the application.

Documents required

Full Biodata of the candidates with age, qualifications, experience achievements in the particular field
Recommendation letter from a reputed teacher/ journalist/scientist who was a mentor of the candidate or long acquaintance with the candidate.
Name and address of two referees from the field of Science Communication who can provide reliable information about the candidate may also be included.

The Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Fund offers Scholarships for upto 2 years to Indian Nationals and Nationals of other Asian countries for Ph.D studies in India

Categories of Scholarship

The scholarships are available to the following categories of students:
1) Indian Nationals for Ph.D. study in India; and
2) Nationals of other Asian countries for Ph.D. study in India.

Areas of specialisation

A candidate may apply for scholarship in any one of the following areas of specialisation:
1. Physical Sciences
2. Chemical Sciences
3, Mathematical Sciences
4. Biological Sciences
5. Computer Sciences
6. Engineering Sciences
7. Environmental Sciences
8. Comparative Studies in Religion and Culture
9. Indian History & Civilisation
10. Sociology

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

At the time of making the application for scholarship, a candidate should

1. Hold a First Class Post-graduate degree with a minimum 60% marks in aggregate.

2. already be registered/admitted for Ph.D. degree with a recognized University/Institution in India. Those who have applied for registration and have not yet been registered at the time of submission of application, are not eligible to apply.

3. not be above 35 years of age at the time of applying.

4. be a full-time Ph.D. Scholar.

5. have valid GATE /NET score.

Duration of scholarship Up to 2 years

Value of Scholarship

a) Maintenance allowance including Tuition fee – Rs.12,000 per month
b) Annual contingent expenses for study tours within India, purchase of books, stationery, etc. – Rs. 15,000 per annum

HOW TO APPLY

Application forms can be downloaded from the official website. Completed application form together with all the necessary enclosures should reach Administrative Secretary, Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Fund, Teen Murti House, New Delhi-110 011 during April and May. The candidates are advised to send their applications as soon as possible. The Fund will not be responsible for any postal delays in reaching the application by the due date.

The Selection Committee’s decision to call a candidate for interview or select a candidate for scholarship will be final and no representation in this regard will be entertained.

Enclosures
1) A passport size photograph of the applicant to be pasted on the form.
2) A synopsis of not more than 1500 words or about 3 pages of 1.5 spaced text.
3) University Doctoral Monitoring Committee’s report or Supervisor/Guide’s report.
4) Postal Order/Demand Draft for Rs.100.

Incomplete and unsigned forms are liable to be rejected.
