Assumption Convent School Punjab
The shcool is run by the Sisters of the Franciscan Clarist Congregation under the patronage and guidance of Tr. Rev. Dr. Anil Jose, the Bishop of Jalandhar.
The object of the school is to provide as an Education designed for the all-round development of the child. This is to say to prepare the pupils for the world of tomorrow, to prepare them for their future duties by the carefull cultivation of their minds, hearts and bodies, intellectual, moral, social and professional enlightenment. Special emphasis is placed on the national virtue of truthfulness, honesty, politeness, simplicity and self-discipline. Manual arts and intermingling with others especially the less fortunate are the aspects of Assumption Education. The medium of instruction is English. Hindi as National Language is taught from Std. The pupils are prepared for the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (I.C.S.E.) Examination taken at the end of Xth class. This Examination is recognised by the Government of India. As equivalent to the Matriculate Examination.
