College of Agriculture
Assam Agricultural University is an agricultural university which was established in 1969 in Jorhat in the state of Assam, India.
Assam Agricultural University is the first agricultural university in the north eastern region of the country. Recognized by the Indian Council for Agricultural Research the university has and continues to foster globally competent human resources in research and study of various disciplines of agriculture, veterinary science, home science and fishery sciences. Assam Agricultural University (AAU) is the only educational centre in the world to offer a comprehensive four-year degree program in agriculture with specialization in Tea Husbandry and Technology (THT), which cover the entire gamut of tea cultivation, production and marketing. The university has faculties and colleges all over Assam for imparting education and has six Regional Agricultural Research Stations in each agricultural zone of Assam.
