Chhattisgarh Institute of Medical Sciences (CIMS) was established as an, undergraduate institution for M.B.B.S. degree course in March 2001 with intake of 100 medical students annually under Guru Ghasidas University, Bilaspur C.G. funded by State Govt. of Chhattisgarh. It was run by the state University under ministry of higher education, govt. of C.G. The mission and vision behind the CIMS are to develop it as an innovative, dynamic and independent medical institute dedicated to provide excellent medical education as well as the best health care, especially to the tribal, backward and rural community of Chhattisgarh region.The Institute stands committed to excellence in providing health care and research.
