It is affiliated to University of Jammu and managed by the Shri Chander Chinar Bada Akhara Udasin Society. Acharya Shri Chander College of Medical & Hospital has acquired the status of Hindu Minority Institution, by Jammu & Kashmir State Government and approved by Medical Council of India (MCI), Government of India. The college imparts Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) course, at the undergraduate degree level.
